Debt and Budgeting Advice

Advice on Debt and Budgeting

CCCS – the Consumer Credit Counselling Service - is Britain’s leading debt charity. It gives help and advice on dealing with debt problems including budgeting, self-help, debt management, insolvency, welfare benefits and repossessions. With over 200 professional counsellors, CCCS provides aftercare and support for clients throughout the debt repayment period.

Last year CCCS helplines received over 300,000 calls and gave in-depth counselling to almost 80,000 people, mainly over the phone. Another 1,000 people a week chose counselling through our online counselling facility, CCCS Debt Remedy, available 24 hours at www.cccs.co.uk

CCCS makes no charge to clients for any of its services from beginning to end. It receives funding from lenders who make a voluntary donation to support the charity's services. This allows CCCS to retain its independence and ensure that its advice is always in the best interest of clients.

CCCS helplines are open 8am to 8pm, Monday to Friday on 0800 138 1111. The website is www.cccs.co.uk.
